I just snagged a Ready Remote 24926 off ebay for 30 bucks with free shipping! I’m psyched to try this project out. I’m sure you’ll hear from me begging for answers to many many problems.

Not really, but I don’t think it would be too hard to wire a normally closed relay into the ignition switch. You wouldn’t even, or rather, would not be able to use the remote start as a cutoff. They have a failsafe that will not let them shut off the car with the keys in the ignition.

Hey Dave, I love the idea. However, i kind of want to use this opposite for your intentions. I would like to use this as a security feature, and have the car engine killed if the number was called, or along those lines. I have a classic muscle car thats easy to get into the wiring, plus a MSD Ignition System and Viper security system. Have you ever thought about trying a kill switch with your system.

Would not happen. Once the ignition is turned on via the key, the remote start module is disabled.

better not forget to disable the calendar events when you leave work early, otherwise, couldn’t it shut off your engine mid transit?
